Every day. I try not to say it when I don’t mean it, but I mean it so often
Fairly often, although when we get in arguments I have a hard time saying it.
I assume my partner knows and they don’t need me to tell them.
2Why do you want to get married?
I want to tell the whole world how I feel about my partner and move into the next phase of my life supported by our family and friends.
All my friends are getting married and I think I’m ready to be married too.
I’ve been dreaming about planning a wedding since I was a kid and I just want to blow everyone away.
3Have you talked to your partner about marriage?
No, that seems tacky. They should know that we’ve been together for a certain amount of time, it’s time to take the next step.
I’ve dropped some hints, but we haven’t had a full on conversation about it yet.
Of course! It’s a huge decision that will affect our life together, we’ve discussed it quite a bit.
4How often do you see friends or engage in hobbies without your partner?
My partner doesn’t really like my friends and we have very different interests, so we don’t do those things together very often.
We do everything together.
I think we have a good balance. We try to see friends or do something together a couple times a week, but we also have hobbies and friends of our own.
5Your partner goes out for a night without you. How do you feel?
I text them the whole time just to check in. Who knows what they might be doing?
I spend some of the night feeling a little jealous. I can’t figure out what to do with myself.
I don’t feel much. It’s a pretty normal occurrence. I’m happy they’re seeing people they like.
6You want to get a new pet. Do you discuss with your partner first, or do you simply do it?
Discuss? You mean the pet that’s already in my house?
I’ll mention it to them, but the final decision is mine.
Yeah, we’ll talk through it. I intend for this person to be part of my life going forward, so owning an animal will affect them.
7What are you most likely to fight about?
We don’t “fight” very often, but we are likely to have spirited arguments over all kinds of things. Fights usually only happen about really large, important things that we truly disagree on.
We fight about almost everything. Who’s going to do the dishes, where to go for dinner, whether I should go out with my friends…our biggest fight topic is jealousy.
We fight about movies and TV shows a lot. Sometimes we fight about how much time we should be spending on the relationship.
8How often do you tell your partner directly what you would like from them?
I try to be as straightforward as possible. Sometimes it’s hard and awkward, but if I need help, or could use some affection, I try to tell them. They’re not a mind reader.
That would destroy the mystery, so I don’t do it very often. It means more when my partner knows what I want without me having to tell them.
I’m still learning how to do this. I get annoyed when I want something from my partner and they don’t do it, so I’m trying to get better at letting them know in a respectful way.
9What sorts of things do you do with your significant other?
We play games together, we go for walks or play sports, we talk about things we care about, we watch movies, we hang out with friends.
We mostly spend time cuddling and watching TV, but we also go out to dinner and are starting to build up some other hobbies to do together.
We just hang out a lot. Sometimes we get food or go somewhere.
10You're fighting with your partner. Which of these sentences is most likely to come out of your mouth?
You don’t care about me!
I just don’t understand you.
It hurts me when you do that.
11Do you kiss hello and goodbye when you see your partner?
Every day ????
Pretty often. Sometimes I’m distracted or in a rush and I forget.
That seems really cheesy. I’ll do it if we won’t see each other for a long time.
